Research Groups and Multidisciplinary Teams
Clinical groups at CHUP are organized in the research areas of Neurosciences, Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, Oncology, Digestive Surgery, Autoimmunity, Genetic Diseases, Hematology and Nephrology. Many of the researchers are integrated in or cooperate with University Institutes and R&D Units funded by the Portuguese national funding agency for science, research and technology (Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia - FCT).

CHUP is home to Research Groups which are integrated at the Multidisciplinary Unit for Biomedical Research (UMIB) of Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas de Abel Salazar of University of Porto.
